Founded before 1972 by the visionary Vetiyattil Hamsa—affectionately known as Pandari Hamsa—we began as a humble on-site cooking service for family functions, serving authentic Malabar flavors with love and precision.
Today, we are proud to be one of the most trusted names in traditional Kerala catering, offering live biriyani counters, customized wedding food packages, and cultural event catering across Malappuram and beyond. The Legacy of Vettiyattil Hamsa
Parappanad Catering began in the quiet lanes of Anjappura, led by Vettiyattil Hamsa, fondly known as Pandari Hamsa. Long before 1972, Hamsa wasn’t just cooking—he was crafting memories. With firewood crackling beneath large cauldrons and spices ground by hand, he brought to life the soul of Malabar Biriyani, a dish that carried the scent of home and the pride of a region. His work was deeply personal, serving weddings, family gatherings, and village feasts where food wasn’t just served—it was celebrated.
As word spread, so did the scale. Hamsa built a team of over 60 skilled workers, many from nearby villages, trained not just in cooking but in the rhythm of hospitality. Together, they transformed Parappanad Catering into a trusted name across Malappuram and beyond.
The business reflected the spirit of Parappanad itself—a region rich in history, trade, and cultural warmth. Just as Parappanangadi once welcomed travelers from distant shores, Hamsa welcomed every guest with generosity and a plate full of heritage.

Carrying the Flame Muneer Veittiyattil
In 1990, Muneer Veittiyattil, son of the visionary Pandari Hamsa, stepped into the world of catering—ushering in the Golden Era of Parappanad Catering. At the time, the team was renowned for its signature Biriyani, a beloved local favorite. Under Muneer’s leadership, the menu expanded with innovative dishes, offering customers a wider variety of flavors rooted in tradition and crafted with care.
Following the passing of Pandari Hamsa, Muneer officially took ownership and reimagined the brand’s future. He led Parappanad Catering beyond food service, transforming it into a full-fledged Event Management company that delivers complete A to Z solutions for weddings, functions, and celebrations.
This chapter stands as a true milestone in the brand’s journey. With unwavering dedication and passion, Parappanad Catering has now crossed over 50 successful years—and the legacy continues, stronger than ever.

In 2024, Parappanad Catering entered a bold new chapter as Naseeh Veittiyattil—professionally trained as a chef and deeply rooted in the traditions of Parappanagadi—stepped into leadership. Raised in the heart of Malabar’s culinary heritage, Naseeh brings a unique blend of technical expertise and cultural sensitivity to the brand. With his father, Muneer Veittiyattil, continuing to offer guidance and wisdom, Naseeh now leads the business with a digital-first mindset, handling everything from branding and social media to menu innovation and event execution. His approach reflects the evolving spirit of Parappanagadi itself—where tradition meets transformation.
